Job Description:

Hello Education are seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants for a local SENd school with young people who each have social emotional and mental health issues. The school is based in Darlington and the role will involve working with mainly the Primary children in EYFS and KS1.

The role is full time, 8.30am - 3.30pm involves delivery to small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis - effective differentiation skills are a must. 

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous SEMH Teaching Assistants experience or those with transferrable skills to a specialist classroom setting. The role has an immediate start and will be ongoing.

To be considered for the role you must:

  • Hold relevant qualifications.
  • Have experience within a school setting supporting children with SEMH.
  • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential.
