Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer

James Adams is seeking an infrastructure and Cloud Engineer to join a growing tech company with offices across the UK. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to deliver support and technical projects to customers. The role:

This is the ideal role for an experienced professional with excellent Microsoft skills looking to join a rapidly growing, award-winning and highly accredited company.

As a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer, you will work within our Cloud Engineering Team to provide escalated operational support for systems within the cloud architecture. This will include Cloud service development, advanced troubleshooting, and the management of Cloud services.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Liaising with customers, you will act as both a point of contact when delivering technical aspects of customer projects and ensuring continuity of service and customer satisfaction regarding the Cloud. You will implement, manage and operate services running within the Cloud environment and leverage the automation framework to improve processes, automate deployment and improve manageability.

Additionally, you will review the entire environment and initiate and execute programmes to reduce failures and defects and improve performance. You can also review and approve change requests relating to the Cloud and monitor and respond to issues and tickets from customers as required.

Your other duties will include:

  • Weekend work to facilitate Zerto disaster recovery testing on the Cloud platform

  • Part of On-Call Rota when required, providing out-of-hours support to escalations from second-line support staff

  • Working with the Cloud, Apps and Corp Services teams to support ongoing maintenance and product enhancements

  • Addressing undefined issues that require new approaches and perspectives

 

Person Specification

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate experience in providing a high level of customer interaction. Being able to respond to queries, show innovation and lead technical conversations during customer projects as part of a larger delivery team.

You must possess practical hands-on experience in the below Cloud Business Applications and Operating Systems.

  • Microsoft 365 Suite

  • Azure Active Directory

  • Exchange Server

  • Windows Server

  • Active Directory

  • Knowledge of any of the following technologies would also be advantageous:

  • vCloud Director

  • Intune

  • Veeam (including Cloud Connect & O365)

  • Citrix
  • Zerto

  • SQL Server

  • Azure Administration

  • NetApp

 

£45,000 plus 26 days annual leave, healthcare, remote working and more
