Environments Manager – Contract

An experienced Environments Manager is required for a Life & Pensions organisation that are growing through acquisition.

The current programme of work involves the implementation of a new life insurance and annuities platform and the migration of large amounts of data from multiple sources onto their platform.

We are looking for someone to manage all relevant environments used to deliver software changes for business-critical applications across two programmes.

The Environments Manager will proactively manage all aspects of the environments, working with Project Managers, Technology team, and Functional leads to ensure the demand due to project delivery is accounted for in the availability of the environments. They will also be responsible for preventing conflicts due to multiple groups needing access to limited resources.

Role Responsibilities include:

• Development of change management process across all in-scope environments
• Provide environment availability dashboard
• Ensure, by working with all relevant teams, that data & software releases, and technology updates and configurations are aligned
• Resolution of environment issues through working with and coordinating technical teams
• Resolution of impact assessment issues and root cause analysis
• Monitoring of utilisation and performance as well as other health checks and audits

Your skills and experience:

• Excellent communication with stakeholders of all levels and disciplines
• Organised and structured approach
• Able to manage multiple moving parts and coordinate people and departments
• A focus on organisation and communication
• Understanding of SDLC
• Comfortable and effective working and communicating remotely and in an international environment
