We are a UK leading material handling machinery manufacturer, who pride ourselves in quality solutions. Our well-established business provides services to the automotive automation industry across a broad range of applications.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our highly motivated sales/engineering team.

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for:

• First point of contact for sales enquiries
• Visiting customer sites to understand RFQ specifications
• Develop system layouts against customer specifications
• Developing basic assembly drawings for quotation
• Working with suppliers to develop project estimates
• Produce estimate, sales proposal, and presentations
• Hold bid review meetings with our team
• Handover successful tenders to our project team
• Support Engineering team through initial project phase
• Assist with long lead procurement
• Work with Accounts to set project budgets

A successful Applications Engineer will need:

• HNC in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent
• Ability to develop working designs
• 5 years + experience in a technical role within engineering
• Project management/engineering experience
• Material handling/special purpose machinery
