Due to acquisition and growth, our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their existing team.

With offices providing services throughout Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire, they offer a bespoke approach to advising their clients, ensuring the clients personal and business growth is their priority.

The services provided cover Accountancy, Audit, Tax and Payroll. With specialist knowledge and extensive experience with Charity & Not For Profit, Property and UK Subsidiaries.

Day to day activities of the role include:

• Prepare quarterly management audits for clients of varying sizes
• Prepare VAT returns for a range of clients
• Use cloud-based software to input client’s base records
• Reconcile client bank accounts, VAT, and other balance sheet items
• Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure all VAT records are requested, and returns prepared and submitted within deadlines
• Analyse client’s income and expenditure ensuring all items are consistently and correctly coded in the profit or loss account and balance sheet
• Communicate with clients regarding queries
• Review client VAT workings as applicable

You will ideally be

• AAT Qualified or at least 5 years experience
• Strong compliance VAT knowledge and ability to apply this to a variety of industries
• Have experience of Xero, Sage & Quickbooks
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be self-motivated and be able to prioritise and manage workloads
