Senior Network Engineer

James Adams has partnered with a fast-growing company based in the IT Sector. Our customer is looking to hire 2 Senior Network Engineers. One role is completely project focused & the other role is a support team leader. Both roles are hybrid (1-2 days per week) with office locations across the UK.

Senior Network Engineer - Project Focused
We are looking for someone who is confident and able to communicate well with a range of Stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Being a lead and taking ownership for the delivery of network projects fulfilling customers' requirements and meeting standards
- Providing network services within Data Centres or to customer locations
- Providing managed CPE which relates to routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Mentoring network engineers, and being the technical escalation for these engineers

Skills Required:
- Strong analytical ability to support complex problem solving and presentation of issues and solutions into focused, structured content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with popular networking technologies in service provider and enterprise environments
- Experience in working in regulated change management environments
- Exceptional customer-facing skills that promote a positive professional relationship



Senior Network Engineer - Team Leader

Responsibilities:
• Looking after & managing the support engineer shift rotas
• Continually monitoring the performance of the support team
• Incident management
• Review Network Team Overdue Ticket Report and actioning appropriately
• Creating a monthly report on support team performance
Skills Required:
• 3rd / 4th Line support of LANs, WANs and Wireless networks
• Competent in the support and configuration of Cisco and/or Juniper networks
• Cisco CCNP or Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP certification or equivalent experience
