A welcoming and inclusive school in Camden are looking for a qualified primary teacher to join their school on a full-time basis to provide interventions and class teaching in Year 5.

The Role

This role has become available to support a permanent teacher's transition into leadership. Your role will be split in to two areas. In the mornings you will be leading small group interventions. These will be primarily in English and Maths, but may include some specialist sessions for individual pupils. In the afternoons you will be teaching the year 5 class. Initially there will be planning in place and you will be following these, but over time you will have the opportunity to be involved in planning. 

Throughout the academic year the post is likely to move into full-time class teaching for the year 5 class. As a 2-form-entry school you will have the benefit of working with a partner teacher to share planning responsibilities within a class teaching role.

The school are looking for a teacher with a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience.

Staff in the school work closely together to ensure all pupils are supported in all areas of learning and development. Pupils at the school are engaged in learning and behaviour is good. Pupils with additional needs are well supported with 1 to 1 learning support assistants within classes. There is a strong focus on the well-being and achievement of every child in a learning environment where high standards and creativity go hand in hand with excellent behaviour, respect, resilience and independence. There is a dedicated and established leadership in place and there are good opportunities for training and professional development.

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of primary teaching experience
  • The ability to start within 2 weeks and commit to a full-time role for the rest of the academic year.
