Location: Bristol
Salary: PAYE: £18.00ph + £1.40ph retention bonus / Umbrella: £22.00ph + £2.00ph retention bonus
Shift Pattern: Permanent Nights, 4 on 4 off
The Orion Rail team are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our leading independent UK train maintenance client.

Job Description:
As the Mechanical Fitter you will efficiently carry out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures.
You will play an active part in continuously improving product quality.
The Mechanical Fitter’s key duties:
Ensure safety procedures and documents are followed to in accordance with VMI & local instruction
Ensure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work
Use of all PPE in accordance with standards and local instructions
Ensure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the Team Leader, taking remedial action where necessary
Assist as directed by Team Leader to ensure rolling stock availability / reliability targets are met
Personal Profile:
NVQ Level 3 certificate in Engineering - Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
BTEC certificate in Engineering and / or
City and Guilds certificate in Engineering
