The school 

• Based in Gateshead
• Students are aged from 5 to 11
• Children who attend this school have SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties
• Friendly and supportive staff

The role 

• To start in January 2023
• Full time Teaching Assistant
• Providing curriculum support to children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Providing emotional support to vulnerable children
• Managing challenging behaviours or situations
• Establishing strong relationships with students and being someone they can rely on

You

• Will have a minimum of 3 months experience in a school
• Will hold a CACHE Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or higher/equivalent (not essential)
• Will have experience supporting children with SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties
• Will have previously worked 1-2-1 or be willing to
• Team Teach training is desirable
