Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Beeston, Nottinghamshire
£40,000
Days - Monday to Friday
Monday to Thursday - 7am to 16:00pm, Friday - 7am to 14:00pm
Callout roughly 5 or 6 times a year on average paid at a premium rate

Day to day you’ll be predominantly dealing with a variety of mechanical and electrical breakdowns, with a strong focus on reactive maintenance. This will include but not be limited to 3 phase and single phase motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, pumps, gearboxes, CNC machinery, saws, hoists, and a lot of automated machinery.
The successful maintenance engineer with have a minimum of an NVQ level 3 qualification in either a mechanical or electrical discipline, or will be time served. An engineer from a variety of backgrounds will be considered for the role. Qualified engineers from a military background are highly encouraged to apply to this position.
Experience required
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems is advantageous
• A multi skilled element to your work, an ability to fault find both mechanically and electrically would be advantageous
• Ex forces background candidates are encouraged to apply
• Experience with a variety of mechanical machinery (gearboxes, chains, belts, conveyors, pumps, bearings, valves) is advantageous
