We are recruiting within an education environment for a HR and Training administrator. This is a temporary assignment from January for 3 months

Hours of work: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Rate: £10-£12/hr

DBS required or willingness to get one

JOB PURPOSE 

Provide a first-class HR & Training administrative service to all stakeholders, acting as first point of contact for queries and enquiries however they come into the department, dealing with them in a timely manner and escalating as required.? 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Act as the first line of support for HR queries and questions for Line Managers and employees across all areas of HR policy and practice, ensuring that queries are escalated to the HR Business Partners as required. 

  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leavers, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.? 

  • Complete monthly employee changes undertaking all necessary documentation and liaising with payroll and HR Administration & Systems Team Lead to ensure transfer of payroll information in a timely and accurate manner. 

  • Store information on the team’s HR Shared Drive in a structured and effective way, so that it is easily accessible to team members and is maintained in-line with the Data Protection and Data Retention policies.?? 

  • Monitor the HR email inbox in line with agreed team timeframe.? 

  • Undertake the onboarding processes for all new starters, including the preparation of contracts of employment, completion all relevant pre-employment checks, maintain contact with new starters throughout the process, issue all new starter documentation and ensure that the Single Central Record is maintained.??? 

  • Monitor that induction and probation review meetings are being completed and if not, raise with the appropriate HR Business Partner.? 

  • Support the Recruitment Specialist, when necessary, with staff recruitment activities such as career fairs, recruitment events, and other activities.? 

  • Administer compliance training requirements for new starters and existing employees.? 

  • Support the Head of HR and the Senior HR Manager with costings and research on materials required for training activity. 

  • Support, as requested, the planning, creating and implementing of CPD days and the weekly CPD sessions.? 

  • Support the logistics of management development programmes and other training as requested, including room and trainer availability, required materials and follow up evaluation of all courses.? 

  • Provide management reports on Training and Development, both monthly and ad hoc as required. 

  • Support activity to improve the effectiveness of HR and Training administration providing ideas for improvements to deliver solutions and value-add changes.
