Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical design engineer to join our highly motivated design team.

The Electrical design engineer will be responsible for:

• Electrical design of bespoke special purpose scientific equipment.
• Development, planning and specification of electronic control systems, sub-systems and components.
• Design of control, drive and sensor technology, pneumatic control, PLC and safety systems.
• The generation of detailed electrical power distribution and control system diagrams suitable for manufacture.
• Provision of accurate BOM's reflecting the diagrams generated.

A successful Electrical design engineer will need:

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experience (minimum HNC + experience)
• Good knowledge in field-bus systems (DeviceNet, Ethercat) and PLC control.
• Good knowledge in the design of drive systems, pneumatic control, and automation.
• Experience in control of electro-pneumatic/mechanical systems, 3-phase power distribution and heater control systems.
• Good experience of E-Plan software preferred
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP)
