Job Description:

Head of Economic Development needed in Haringey £39.42 ph PAYE - Reference: RQ751456

  • To be accountable and responsible for leading the delivery of economic development and enterprise support including town centre management and workspace across Haringey, promoting social value, inward investment and business growth.
  • To secure the support and collaboration of local businesses, Members, relevant service areas, and the wider community in delivering best practice economic development, enterprise support and town centre management, influencing the work of senior colleagues and stakeholders including by challenging orthodox approaches, promoting innovation, and imaginatively using internal and external communications.
  • To champion and advocate for the businesses in the borough and ensure successful delivery of the Business Pledge as set out in the Borough Plan.
  • To drive and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering economic development, enterprise support and town centre management, ensuring that relevant services are leading and or contributing to relevant elements to ensure successful delivery.
  • To oversee the successful delivery of external funding and secure investment by identifying and securing external and internal funding, identifying new commercial and business opportunities, building relationships with current and potential investors.

 

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
