Job Description:
An Amazing Opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to become a key function of a multi-million-pound manufacturing business who have recently invested over two million pounds in brand new machinery. This is an exciting chapter for the company, and they are looking for a driven individual who can come in and be part of the rapid expansion and development.
The role will be predominantly office-based work but requires you to be able to jump on the tools if necessary – lead by example.

The site:
The machinery is a variety of automated machinery and heavy older machinery: Conveyors, presses (20 tonne), furnaces, robots, welding machines, laser machines, punch press machines, spray robots, air tools, sub-assembly lines and assembly lines mainly.
It is an aging facility with the infrastructure, and plant needing some upgrades.
The company have plans to become more automated throughout.
The Opportunity
- Manage and develop maintenance systems and procedures
- Reporting to the Operations Director
- Looking after all site maintenance, environmental, plant and health & safety
- Continuous improvement leadership
- Support the manufacturing team to develop a lean culture.
Duties:
- Write risk assessments for Maintenance Team
- COSHH assessments for Maintenance Team
- plans set around revised construction methodology,
- cost reduction, parts rationalisation, and improved efficiencies
- TPMs and PPMs using PEMAC software
- Develop and administer PPM system
- Implement improvement projects
- Manage maintenance budget
- Co-ordinate all facilities building projects
- Manage site service contracts
- Contribute and assist with site-wide Capex projects
- Audits
- Legionella Management
- Manage site contractor controls
- Manage site asbestos programme
- Ensure H&S are to IOS standards
- KPIs
Experience required:
- ONC/HNC or Level 4 in management/engineering qualifications
- NEBOSH
- Preferably apprentice trained in either electrical or mechanical Engineering
