Minimum 3+ years of experience in an application support role
EXPERT Microsoft SQL skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving and investigative skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA certification or other industry qualifications are desirable, but not essential if a candidate has had 5 + years relevant work experience.
Experience in supporting a platform would be to your advantage.
Some experience in the general insurance sector would be desirable but not essential.
We are looking for a collaborative, supportive team player. Keen attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills, super-organised with the ability to organise multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
The business had doubled in size over the last two years, there is great scope for career progression so a strong desire for self-improvement and advancement is a must. Although the business has doubled they have still kept the family feel. The team is 6 staff and once someone displays the skills required they are progressed into various projects (usually after 6+ months).
The environment is very hard working as there is a large amount of work to be done however the team is very supportive and everyone helps everyone out especially just before a project is to be delivered. The platform is complex as it hosts lots of different systems.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Analyst who is an expert at Microsoft SQL, is a natural problem solver and has great interpersonal skills!

You will be working on a range of issues where you will develop your knowledge of the platform with the support and guidance from our super-talented, collaborative, friendly support team.
What Does This Role Entail?
In the first instance, as a Senior Technical Support Analyst, you will use your high degree of technical knowledge to provide professional and comprehensive technical support to our external and internal clients. You will work closely with other internal departments within the business in order to resolve client issues quickly and identify root causes.
Our platform is built on C#/ASP.NET technologies but you will use SQL to interrogate data and resolve issues. It will be no surprise therefore, that having a deep understanding and wealth of experience in SQL is crucial for this role.
You will be confident, collaborative and professional in our vibrant, enthusiastic, supportive, super-smart team and you will be actively involved in improving customer service and client experience. The work flow is fast-paced and requires the ability to adapt to different challenges and priorities. The ability to learn, self-motivation and great communication is key for this role.
