Technical Director with a Java background

Are you an experienced Java Developer, looking for a new role for the next step in your career?  If so, this could be the next role for you.

As Technical Director you will be central to the success of the agency, helping to plan & lead the delivery of highly complex technical solutions. Leading by example, you will provide support, leadership, and oversight to multiple project teams whilst ensuring that they are delivered on-time and to the highest standards. You are a collaborative and proactive team player, a confident communicator that is equally comfortable in front of our clients and our internal colleagues.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a wide range of Java based technical platforms, products, and services, utilising modern best practice development processes and approaches

Ability to create appropriate technical specification and architectures,

Working closely with Technical Leads, Project Management, UX, and Design to accurately plan and estimate technical programmes of work

Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to all levels of a client's organisation in addition to creating regular project documentation

 When required, being a hands-on developer to help shape, troubleshoot, and deliver our solutions

 YOUR EXPERIENCE

You will have a proven history delivering Java based technical platforms, websites, and solutions - ideally working in a digital agency environment. Crucially you'll be comfortable working on a variety of different project types and be able to adapt easily to our clients ever-changing technology needs.

 Mobile applications and sites

Bespoke platforms, API's & Web Services

 Interactive campaigns and digital comms

Emerging technology (Voice, ML, AR/VR)

Cloud Hosting and its associated services

 Expert understanding of Java programming language and associated frameworks' Leading teams in the development of Java based solutions and applications
