Job Description:
Test Development Engineer
Opportunity for a Test Development Engineer to join a leading design, development and manufacturing organisation with an established yet growing electro-mechanical product portfolio.
Due to continued growth and expansion they are looking to appoint a key engineer with LabVIEW experience to support Test Development and Production System activities.
In this newly created role you will help to shape the design of new products through building and testing complex prototype systems, as well as helping with the product design where possible. As such you will have a background building complicated electro-mechanical systems and using or building or automating instrumentation to determine performance.
You will also troubleshooting electronics to component level and play a key role in creating test software systems.
The key requirements of this role will be:
Devising and assembling test systems to measure the performance of new products
Utilising programming software to automate the testing process
Providing practical testing and assembly of prototypes
Producing technical documentation for test systems / testing results
Utilising your knowledge to troubleshooting faults in prototype and also existing production units
Working closely with the design and development team support the development of new product concepts
There will also be an opportunity to undertake / contribute to firmware, software, hardware, and mechanical design for individuals looking to develop these skills.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a graduate / HNC/D + qualified electrical / electronic engineering
Prior experience of working within an electronic/software product design and manufacturing environment devising production test systems / methods ideally required.
In depth experience of LabVIEW sought
Excellent communisation skills and a willingness to undertake a broad range of activities and further train and develop is essential.
