Job Description:

A business whose products provide the next generation technology within electrical power products are looking to partner with a procurement professional who can join them on a full time, permanent basis as their next Buyer. 

This role comes to the market due to some serious private investment as well as rapid growth, taking this company to new heights so this is definitely not an opportunity to be missed! 

As their new Buyer you will take the lead on; 

  • Source and implement new suppliers for both direct and indirect procurement activities 
  • Negotiate on cost with existing and new suppliers for all manufacturing requirements
  • Create schedules and communicate lead times to the wider business
  • Management of critical long lead time items to ensure these are planned for and available when required

This role is primed for you if you can demonstrate the following: 

  • 2 plus years working as a Buyer in an engineering or manufacturing environment 
  • Familiar with working with BOM's 
  • Comfortable with direct and indirect purchasing activities 
  • Experienced with sourcing and setting up new suppliers for both direct and indirect purchasing
