Role Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Aide who will be a key member of a team that supplies clean glassware, plastics, and reagents to medical lab technicians.

You will be involved in manual handling tasks and operating equipment each day.  You will collect and process glassware and plastics through systems involving the use of industrial washing machines before returning these to labs.  You will operate and observe primary maintenance of equipment including autoclaves, drying ovens and industrial washing machines and you will maintain stock records.

No formal qualification is required but previous experience in a similar setting with an understanding of the important of Health & Safety is desirable.  You will have good hand/eye coordination, have good communication and accuracy skills and full training will be provided. This role will be split between Alderley Edge and the Withington site (free bus shuttle available) and will then move full time to Withington from Spring 2023.
