Senior Front End React Developer - FULLY REMOTE - Sports Product Company - £70,000 - £90,000 Per Annum

This leading Sports Product Company is looking for a Senior Front End Developer to produce high performance, accessible, component based UI experiences for the web. You should be comfortable working closely with clients and internal teams throughout the full product and development process, and have a willingness and desire to push the boundaries of web development to shape the web experiences of our clients and products.

 

You'll join a friendly and inclusive development team who are at the top of their game, switched on, smart, efficient and committed to producing best of breed digital products.

 

You will be responsible for developing new and innovative web experiences and features, building bespoke builds for sports clubs. Building prototypes and scaffold products as well as manage architecture and contribute to in-house development using the latest technologies.

 

They are committed to React JS as it offers versatility as a framework and allows them to iterate quickly and re-use components across our suite. There is some nuance within the stack and many approaches with Redux / Hooks / Context API / Sagas and so they are always open to improving, simplifying and scaling their stacks, so they are looking for someone who likes to move with the latest proven trends. You will use Story book to manage component libraries across their suite.

 

You must be comfortable building solid and robust UI from Sketch files provided by the design team. Strong technical skills with CSS and managing accessibility is essential on top of your JavaScript skills. Someone who delivers the whole package and understands mobile first approaches and progressive enhancement to support a range of browsers and user needs.

 

  • Solid UI, CSS, HTML and Mobile first best practices.
  • Component based UI development. Atomic principles.
  • Solid JavaScript.
  • Some understanding of JavaScript patterns.
  • Typescript (not essential but a definite plus).
  • React.
  • Context API or Redux.
  • React Hooks.
  • BEM CSS approaches.
  • Storybook.
  • Application bundlers (ideally webpack).
  • Web accessibility best practices
