A Hands on Health and Safety Officer Manager role for an amazing business..

Stirling Warrington are currently recruiting for a SHE Office near Middlewich, working for a top manufacturer. The role is working closely with the SHE Manager, assisting with implementing Procedures, Policies etc.

This business has a small staff turnover, great working conditions and good people.
 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the compilation and implementation of H&S procedures, policies and other documentation. 

  • To ensure the effective maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management system in relation to the OHSAS45001 & 14001 (2015) standards. 

  • Conduct general risk assessments throughout production site/s 

  • Ability to negotiate with statutory authorities. 

  • Conduct workplace audits and report findings of non-compliance to production managers and PUK SHE Manager, making recommendations for improvement as necessary. 

  • Coordinate and accompany contractor/end user/client auditors on operational visits. (Action any corrective points). 

  • To visit sites when necessary to advice on safe off loading/handling of products. 

  • To visit sites to ensure that subcontractors are adhering to all H&S requirements 

  • Promote a positive H&S culture whilst recommending new initiatives



The Candidate:

  • Previous experience working within construction and manufacturing for a minimum of a few years

  • You will have a proactive approach to Health and Safety.

  • Ideally, but not essential, you'll have a SMSTS (Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate).

  • You will hold a NEBOSH certification as a minimum
