Job Description:

My client is a leading competitor in the design, manufacture, service and installation of mobility equipment, home lifts and passenger lifts. They are a large UK based company with branches running throughout the UK and are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to join them in the sale of their home lift and platform lift products throughout the Kent and Essex areas. 

You will be responsible for;

  • Promoting and selling the company's platform lift range within the Kent and Essex areas. 
  • Achieving and exceeding annual sales targets to support the division's growth objectives. 
  • Gaining a thorough technical understanding of the products sold by the company and competitor's products. 
  • Understanding the sales processes appropriate in the commercial market within the construction industry.
  • Providing quotations that are accurate based on the information provided. 
  • Dealing with health and safety or compliance issues and providing all advice to the customer. 
  • Following up sales leads and quotes promptly to gain advantage over competitors. 
  • Working with the Management team to develop ideas for improving sales via product development ideas. 
  • Identifying and building relationships with prospects and repeat customers.

To be considered for the role of the Technical Sales Engineer, you must have; 

  • An understanding of platform and home lift products throughout the construction market, and be able to provide technical specifications of similar products. 
  • The ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of the platform lift market including the main market sectors, product types, current trends and competitors. 
  • An ability to plan prioritise and organise workload. 
  • A proven strong sales track record and ability to generate and build on customer rapport. 
  • Commercial awareness within the construction industry. 
  • Ability to conduct a technical evaluation of a platform lift specification.
