Job Title: Maths Tutor

Location: South Yorkshire - Centre based

Salary: £25,000

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

• Prepare and deliver engaging learning sessions based on basic Numeracy and Financial Awareness, to learners aged 19+ who do not hold their own GCSE Maths at Grade C (or equivalent). 
• Creation of schemes of work and lesson plans, that will inspire and motivate learners.
• Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
• Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
• Ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently.
• Train and support staff with the delivery of Functional Skills.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold own recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Hold own English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Must hold at least 2 years' experience delivering Life Skills; Employability or Functional Skills.
• Must have experience of delivering to learners on a 1:1 basis.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate learners.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
