Orion Rail are looking for an Overhaul Manager to join a multi-award-winning business.

Job Description for the Overhaul Manager:

Reporting to the Production Director you will be expected to manage the Rail Overhaul team maintaining high levels of accuracy cleanliness at all times. As the Overhaul Manager you will ensure that your team are well trained and motivated to carry out all of their duties in line with the company works procedures.

They are looking for an Overhaul manager that will bring a positive and solution- based approach to problems to ensure things are constantly improving with our processes and procedures.

 

As the Overhaul Manager your responsibilities will include:

All employees are logged on jobs and labour times reviewed.

All working practices and procedures are followed at all times by members of the team.

Ensure the Overhaul areas are kept and clean, tidy and planned maintenance is completed.

Investigate and report on the relevant KPI’s each month.

Ensure all your staff adhere to current health and safety standards.

Maintain good levels of communication with other company managers and employees.

Ensure annual stock take is completed each year

Assist the Production Director with Rail Overhaul related improvement projects

Ensure employee training logs are followed and kept updated when required.

Hold regular meetings with the team and set daily work schedules.

Liaise with purchasing to ensure continuity of material supply.

Set and monitor employee objectives in order to improve the employees and the business.

Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are maintained at all times.

 

Overhaul Manager Skills 

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Effective and professional communication skills-verbal and written.                                         

Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.

Time management skills, prioritise responsibilities.

Ability to handle stressful situations such as heavy/varying workload while maintaining accuracy.

Logical troubleshooting skills.

Must hold a full driving licence

Engineering background

A good understanding of sage systems would be useful.
