Working with their smart facility you will play a key role supporting the Principal Power Supply Design Engineer on number of exciting new projects throughout the entire project life-cycle.

 

As Senior Electronics Power Engineer you work as an integral part of the project team driving the design of the control, sensing, communications and thermal requirement aspects during development.

 

Key accountabilities with include:

 

Power Electronic hardware design across multiple projects (including key flagship projects)

 

Working on a project basis as part of a multi-disciplined team from initial design of  AC/DC converters utilising your expertise to support design fthought the comlete product development  lifecycle. 

 

 

To succeed in this role you will enjoy undertaking a diverse role with a high amount of autonomy and the opportunity to make a difference.

 

You will ideally have:

 

  • A degree in either Electronic Engineering or similar engineering discipline, coupled with practical power design experience / Switch Mode Power Supply Design SMPS with:

 

  • AC/DC -  a working knowledge of full-bridge, push-pull and forward isolated converters (typically 2-5kW+ single phase)

 

  • Experience of LLC converters, PFC & input filtering.

 

  • Simulation experience of complex circuitry using packages such as Simulink, Matlab, Simetrix or LTSpice.

 

  • Experience of product development cycle and ideally subsequent transition into production

 

  • Have a passion for new innovation and look to identify and introduce any relevant new technologies
