Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Support Engineer to continue their career within a project & customer support role. You would be joining a well-established and exciting company, within their transmission and driveline engineering and manufacturing division.
As a Project Support Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and support within a team that assembles and tests several supercar and motorsport driveline systems. This is a hands-on role and will be the primary contact between the company and the customer for production support, any problem diagnosis required and providing timely resolutions as necessary.
You will also be responsible for leading the Aftersales service programmes. This role may involve travel to the customer in UK and European locations, for short-term periods at short notice.
Responsibilities of the Project Support Engineer role:
- Point of contact for customer technical queries for key driveline systems
- Leading and delivering the aftersales service programmes for supercar programmes
- Supporting production with technical knowledge as required
- Report writing to cover all aspects of investigations and details, both top-level and technically detailed
- Leading test rig upgrades/maintenance/spares management
- Responsible for strategy development for the end-of-line test rigs
The ideal Project Support Engineer will:
- Have obtained an Engineering Degree
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of automotive or similar test rigs and test environments including data acquisition
- Have experience interfacing with a high-level customer base
- Have a solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical system diagnostic
- Have hands-on skills to be directly involved in the strip and inspection of transmission systems
- Willingness to learn and balance workload across many actions
- Experience in the automotive industry preferable but not essential
