Job Description:

Our client, a leading retail business based in Leicester, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the business make informed decisions through the analysis and interpretation of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making processes
  • Identify trends and insights from data to inform business strategies and tactics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Continuously improve data quality and accuracy by conducting regular data audits and cleaning processe
  • Interrogating data sets to support business decisions
  • Main customer is Marketing but also Finance, Ecommerce. You'll be working on example enquiries such as "How many sales resulted from a promotion we ran for a product"
  • The Hope and vision is that as the team grows you'll be empowered to have the curiosity to ask questions that haven’t previously been asked (as it is more fun and helpful to the business)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related discipline
  • Strong SAS experience.
  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence Analyst role, preferably within a retail or consumer goods industry but we're happy to talk to anyone from any industry.
  • Expertise in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau. The business currently use Tableau and are migrating to Power BI. So knowledge of both or either woudl be great. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders
  • A team player who is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Our client offers a competitive salary of £42,000 - £45,000, along with a strong pension and private health care scheme as part of the overall package. The successful candidate will be based out of the Leicester office for 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on the other days.
