Equality Officer based in Croydon and the rate is £12.87ph PAYE

This is a part time role working on a temporary contract.

An experienced Equality Officer is required to support a new equalities project and provide business as usual support to the equalities team.

Knowledge:

  • Cultural change
  • Equalities Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duties
  • Anti-racism and understanding of factors affecting racialized and other minoritized groups
  • Project management tools and techniques
  • An understanding of culture and processes in local government

Skills:

  • Policy development within Public Sector
  • Organisational and Project management skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Ability to write complex reports, policy documents and create presentations
  • Self-motivated, ability to work on own initiative
  • Critical thinking skills

Working arrangements: Can be flexible to allow working from home as desired but some office attendance will be required on an ad hoc basis.
