Technical Architect based in Northampton and the rate is £500.00 per day PAYE

This is a part time role working on a temporary contract.

The successful candidate will research, interpret, scope, design, approve and oversee the implementation of complex business information systems, servers and network infrastructure solutions for core and strategic ICT projects.

Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies in order to advise senior management on the best solutions to meet business objectives and the wider needs of Shared Technology Services.

Bridge the gap between the technical and non-technical; translating technical concepts so they are understood by all.

To proactively review existing Architecture/ solutions and provide recommendations to senior management for the redesign of our infrastructure.

A strong knowledge of infrastructure and solutions, spanning areas such as data centres and network architecture

To take an agnostic independent view to evaluate the appropriate use of technology for optimum service delivery and accessibility to staff and citizens.

To engage with the TDA function and play a lead role in this space

To ensure that business systems meet statutory obligations (e.g. Data Protection) and best-practice standards in respect to functionality, data security, interoperability, etc.

To quality-assure designs from third-parties and other departments across the partners, ensuring they deliver relevant, business-focussed solutions which meet relevant industry standards.

To lead on feasibility studies and business cases as part of the transformation process, working to tight deadlines, in order to assess the suitability of proposed IT developments, identifying opportunities, risks, costs and benefits, making recommendations to the Senior IT and Business stakeholder groups on whether to proceed with proposals.
