Lamonby recruitment have an exciting new position for a Business Development Manager to join our client, a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of PVC-u and aluminium windows and doors. This is an external role that will require 3 – 5 days’ travel a week, with days not spent on the road spent in the Wellingborough office.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for securing new business through client meetings and cold calling as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients. The successful candidate will be a professional, smart, eloquent and driven person who possess both technical and commercial skills.
The successful Business Development Manager will have at least 3 years’ sales experience in with experience preferably in glazing / fenestration industry. The area you will be required to cover will predominately be in an around the East of England (Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire etc) but may occasionally require you to travel further afield.
In return you will receive a starting salary between £40,000 - £45,000 as well as a commission scheme, company vehicle, 20 + 8 holiday days and a company pension.
Business Development Manager Role
Establish new accounts and services by identifying potential customers via lead follow up, cold calling and networking.
Maintain relationships with existing accounts and customers
Identify the “best fit” product configurations for prospects and work with sales support staff to provide equipment proposals.
Requires 3-5 days of travel per week within the territory.
