As a Quality Engineer, you will be joining a market-leading green solutions manufacturing business, who through extensive investment into research & development, have developed an impressive range of advanced energy solutions, all manufactured in the UK.

Working as a Quality Engineer you will oversee all aspects of quality enabling process repeatability as the business continues to grow.

As a Quality Engineer your duties will include:

  • Implement standard manufacturing practice and ensure conformance to specified tolerances ( torque settings, cable lengths etc).
  • Establish and Execute our Quality processes and procedures ensuring corrective and preventative actions are completed and evidence recorded.
  • Participate in the Daily Operations Meeting, taking ownership of problems assigned to the Quality function for resolution.
  • Progress customer concerns internally in a proactive manner and participate in the problem-solving process to eliminate repeat concessions.
  • Support the development of required standards, implementation of standards and assistance in determining best practices for the company.
  • Routinely evaluate our suppliers against pre-defined criteria, and record assessments.
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions taken in relation to non-conformances in the IMS system.
  • Support the updating and maintaining the IMS system.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, taking account of outcomes from audit processes and working to implement solutions where gaps are identified.
  • Creation of inspection and test plans, verification, and validation plans.           

The successful Quality Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

  • Electrical design & manufacturing environment; ideally up to 11KV, 5MVA.
  • Must be able to understand schematic diagrams and technical drawings
  • Electrical, hydraulic and mechanical fitting knowledge.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical quality principles, concepts, theories and practices in a manufacturing/heavy engineering environment.
  • Strong problem-solving analysis, judgement and decision making for complex problems, using root cause analysis tools.
  • Proven experience with quality systems and ISO certification
  • Proven experience with CSA, IEEE, ANSI and IEC standards.
  • Experience of 5S/6S, SQCDP(E), CAPA, 8D, 5-Whys, DMAIC and VSM beneficial.
  • Continuous Improvement experience essential.

As a Quality Engineer you will receive the below benefits:

  • £40-45k per annum
  • Up to 5% basic pay bonus paid annually linked to company performance.
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays. 
  • 3-month probationary period standard
