Java Engineer - Java, AWS, SpringBoot, TDD, CI/CD, remote

Working for a cloud-based data, software development company based in London. Their products allow data transformation into ultra-secure cloud-based environments mainly used by large enterprises and government sectors.
As a Software Engineer you will lead the development of backend services, including developing, designing, and deploying high availability services.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on interesting challenges and projects, with what are truly cutting-edge technologies across Software engineering, infrastructure as a code, data engineering, security, and end to end platform performance for this rapidly growing cloud-based consultancy.
Experience needed:
 

• Highly experienced in Java including Spring boot.
• Experience with Kafka or Messaging services.
• Engineering best practices including continuous delivery, clean code, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Using GitHub/GitLab for source control
• Test Driven Development with appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies.
• Experience in AWS.

Work involved:

• Develop, document, Design and deploy enhanced features to the backend services meeting functional / non-functional business requirements. 
• Participating in the team’s estimations of user stories.
• Building frequent, small releases to maintain the team’s momentum. 
• Collaborate closely with other engineers in our cross-functional teams.
• Optimise, build, and operate our CI/CD pipelines.
