We are currently looking for a graduate Learning Support Assistants to join a primary school in the borough of Hackney on a full-time basis to support children with additional needs across the school.

The Role

The school are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work with pupils across all year groups with additional needs. The needs of the pupils will vary but will include Special Educational Needs (autism/ADHD/dyslexia), behavioural needs and social emotional needs. Your role will include supporting pupils in class and running interventions and small groups outside the main classroom

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a career in primary teaching.

Hours 8.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday

This role is offered on a contract basis for the rest of academic year.

There is a arts focus at the school where they encourage pupils to develop confidence through music, singing, drama and art, enjoying sport and understanding nature in the school's wildlife area. Pupils at the school are calm, caring and confident and behaviour is good. There is an established leadership team in place and there is good professional development opportunities and the potential for future permanent roles within the federation.

Essential qualities for this role

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology Graduate 
• C or above (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English
• the ability to commit to a full-time position till July 2022
