Housing Officer 839444

Expired

Job Description:

Housing officer needed in London £20.42ph ref 839444

Do you enjoy helping others? Every housing officer should ask themselves this question. There are dozens of policies and procedures involved when working as a housing officer – all of which can be learnt. However, the best housing officers in the business are known for their empathy and their ability to listen.

Our team is working at the front-line of housing services. Our remit is to provide an unrivalled service to our customers. If you are interested in being part of a winning, determined team whose sole focus is to help our residents, then read on.

Whilst there is an element of the role that involves responding to emails, a truly great housing officer will be out on their ‘patch’ most of the time. Only by being visible on the estate can you get a real sense of what is happening with the customers and the buildings that you are responsible for. Your visibility will bring a sense of reassurance to the residents and they will be able to get to know you.

Your job is to connect the dots. People will come to you with problems to solve or questions to ask. More often than not, you will need to rely on others, such as colleagues in repairs or rent teams, for the solutions you need. That’s why being able to network and develop relationships across the organisation will be so valuable to your success.

Our particular team have a focus on estates which the council are, or will be, re-building homes upon. This brings a unique set of challenges. Our task is to protect them from any disruption as much as possible.

You’ll get to work autonomously and create and manage your own workload. You’ll also be encouraged to be innovative and put forward ideas to help continuously improve the service.

Your role will occasionally involve the odd evening meeting but you will also be able to balance your hobbies and interests with a healthy work/life balance thanks to our flexible working policy. Full time hours on a temporary basis.

If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to [email protected]  quoting the reference number
