Lead Statutory Return and Report Officer needed in Enfield, £219.44 PER DAY PAYE - Reference: RQ846126

- Support data needs for the Housing Advisory Service -Homelessness /Housing Register /Temporary Accommodation
• Technical Responsibility for and the technical lead on creating submitting and developing statutory returns and business critical data.
• Data and technical lead for the implementation of new systems.
• Lead and address data quality issues related to Housing Advisory Service data.
• Lead and carry out surveys to support business needs.
• Be accountable to the Housing Advisory Service to produce key statistical returns that allow the organisation to direct resources, understand trends, gain an understanding about residents and customers, take proactive and remedial action to improve performance and fulfil reporting requirements.
• Responsibility for collating data sets together to inform single view projects and reporting these findings and being accountable at DMT, Key Strategic boards and
briefings.
• Support the production of Business-Critical Data sets where these are not automated by systems and where appropriate analyse, combine and join datasets together to produce these key data items which can have legislative and budgetary implications.
• Manipulate and Interpret data sets to prepare responses to complex FOI requests
• Lead for automation of statistical returns
• Take Responsibility to deliver training to upskill the Data and Intelligence and wider teams technical capacity
• Work in partnership with the Service Development Manager to deliver Insight and Analytics.
• Support the production of Business-Critical Data sets where these are not automated by systems and where appropriate analyse, combine and join datasets together to produce these key data items which have legislative and budgetary implications.
• Responsibility for and the Lead on creating submitting and developing statutory returns for the local authority
• Translate and Interpret complex government guidance and legislation and apply this to local datasets and reports to ensure that returns are completed in accordance with legislation
• Lead on innovative ways to extract data sets and automate the reporting of data
• Create and build management information reports to supply services with key insight and business critical reports
• Work with a range of officers across teams in an unsupervised capacity
• Challenge requests that are made to the team to ensure that they are in keeping with the councils aims and priorities and the hubs service standards
• Work effectively alongside colleagues from the wider team to ensure robust and effective reporting is maintained, this may include peer reviewing outputs and quality assurance.
• Identify opportunities and put forward suggestions to make improvements to reporting and data collection.
• Response to freedom of information (FOI) requests

 

This is a full time role on a temporary basis.
