Technical Author, Bids & Proposals - Engineering / Aerospace/ Defence 

As a result of continued new projects, an opportunity has arisen for a proposals / bid writer / technical author with a background in a manufacturing environment to undertake a pivotal role in support of new bids and project support.

You will manage the creation of professionally written proposal content that clearly communicates the organisation’s benefit proposition to end customers.

This pivotal role will be varied and include all aspects of proposal preparation and support to Project Engineering to enable the  successful acquisition of multiple projects

The projects will be highly technical, often bespoke electro-mechanical flagship new projects and you will be working as part of a motivated, passionate team.

As Technical Writer, Bids & Proposals your role will encompass:

• Organising the preparation of bid responses and proposals including all areas of the tendering
• Internal liaison to confirm proposed design for the proposal
• Production of first-class competitive tenders and proposals
• Ensuring tender deadlines are met, and preparation of high-quality descriptive documents providing clear and concise details of the scope.
• Preparation of tender specifications for equipment and services, commercial and technical tender evaluation including preparing responses to bidders' technical queries, recommendations for purchase, and assistance with purchase order preparation.

The position will suit a qualified Engineer or technical writer with relevant industry experience with

• Experience in a similar capacity providing Proposals/ Project support to manufacturing projects.
• First class communication skills essential
• Prior exposure to authoring/writing bids or related sales material for complex electro-mechanical or mechcnaial manufactured products.
