An 'outstanding' nursery school in Lambeth are looking for a qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher to join their school on a part-time basis from April 2023 until July 2023. 

The Role

This Nursery teacher role is based within a state-maintained nursery school in Lambeth. The school offers specialist Early Years education for 2- to 4-year-olds in Lambeth and as a teacher you will take class teaching responsibilities for one of the pre-school classes. The school have had a larger than average intake this year of pupils with SEN and delayed development, particularly in terms of communication and language and so part of your role will include providing focused activities for these pupils. 

You will work closely with the other class teachers and your responsibilities will include some planning, observations and assessments and management of support staff members. You should have a creative and engaging approach with a good level of professional experience and knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.  You will be communicating and supporting a diverse range of families and should have excellent inter-personal skills and a calm and professional approach with excellent attention to detail and record keeping.

You must hold qualified teacher status to apply and previous experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage. 

This role is offered on a contract basis initially until July 2023 and is paid to scale (MPS).

The School

This outstanding Nursery School offers term-time education from 2 - 4 years old and is part of a federation of nursery across the borough of Lambeth. They run as a school and therefore are only open during term-time and school hours.  At their most recent Ofsted (spring 2019) they achieved outstanding and are a very popular choice of nursery for the local community. Staff are very happy, and this is a wonderful opportunity to join an outstanding nursery school.
