A small Church of England primary school in Lambeth are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with SEMH needs until the end of the academic year.

The Role

In this role you will be providing 1: 1 support for a child in KS1 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The child can display challenging behaviour at times and needs to have adult support to manage their emotions. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO and will have support and training. The school are ideally looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with additional needs within a school setting and a calm and caring approach.

This small and friendly primary school is based in the Kennington area of Lambeth and is very popular with local families. The school has a core Christian ethos and has close links to the local church.  

The school follows an exciting and aspirational curriculum taught through half termly topics. These offer pupils the opportunity to explore, enquire and reflect. Learners are challenged and supported throughout their learning journey and encouraged to complete mastery challenges. There is a strong leadership team who have proven to maintain good standards and continuous improvements in the school. There is a wide range of enriched learning experiences and extra-curricular activities for pupils. Staff our encouraged to follow their own career development through regular training and CPD opportunities.
