Senior Network Engineer Job working hybrid from home and some travel to the Leeds office.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Network Engineer, your key duties will include:

• Collaborating with colleagues, design and implement functional, stable and highly available production networks within & across our data centres
• Support the project management team with group and external customer projects
• Provide technical resource in the event of a major incident or incident investigation
• Design new and evolve existing network solutions to match the continuous environmental evolution
• Ensure the existing network solutions are patched to current/suitable security levels
• Monitor, measure and maintain/improve network performance – to provide a good customer experience
• Ensure accurate network documentation exists and provide training across the department and other teams.

We want to make sure you are set for success so the key skills we’re looking for in the role are below. We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we’ll provide training on some of the areas if you’re the right person for the role.

• Previous experience within a complex hosted networking environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience with VMWare / HyperV
• Experience with major technology vendors including Cisco, Juniper and HP
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience in deploying Cisco Software Defined Networks
• Knowledge or experience with Cloud computing (AWS) would be desirable
