As an Associate Delivery Manager in our IT department, you will work to senior Delivery Managers to manage the delivery of IT change projects from designing stages through to delivery into a live environment.

Job description We are looking for an experienced professional who is able to work with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders in our customer groups, internal delivery partners and external delivery suppliers. You will be a trusted point of contact and you will be required to deputise for IT Delivery Managers when necessary. You will be expected to work at pace, with enthusiasm and confidence and you will need to have extremely good organisational skills. Person specification

As an Associate Delivery Manager, you will support your team by:

  • Quickly building a good technical understanding of the IT Solutions you are managing delivery of.
  • Challenging assumptions and support helping drive stakeholders to solve problems to preserve affordability and deliverability.
  • Leading project checkpoint calls
  • Accurately reporting within specified timeframes.
  • Actively and effectively managing project risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
  • Ensuring products or services delivered meet the specified quality criteria and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Producing and updating detailed project plans to ensure that all key stakeholders work in collaboration to meet deadlines and ensure successful delivery of LID date.
  • Conducting post project reviews and recording and sharing lessons learnt

Essential Criteria

You will need to demonstrate within your application the following essential experience:

  • Must have experience in delivering medium to large scale technical and IT enabled business change projects against a backdrop of large-scale organisational change.
  • Commercial and governance awareness including managing and monitoring of project costs and budgets and working with the HMRC End-to-End Change Lifecycle
  • Understanding and practical experience of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills using a variety of methods
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good aptitude for using O365 tools such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word

 Desirable Criteria

  • Working knowledge and/or qualifications in project management e.g., Prince 2, Agile and APM
  • Experience in use of Programme & Project Management Tooling ‘Clarity’
