Professional Training Solutions is looking for a committed professional to lead our early years, childcare and teaching assistant sector across London and Surrey.
The role includes leading a team of Assessors and IQAs in the development of PTS’s delivery of qualifications and apprenticeship programmes. To be accountable as the sector lead and undertake sector leadership responsibilities for programmes of study. This includes, management tasks, supervision of staff, lesson preparation and marking and assessment.
Working closely with the Quality Manager you will be accountable for the sector improvement plan and learner outcomes within these areas of delivery.
You will be required to lead the planning and monitoring processes within the sector and be responsible for the performance management process of staff within delivery of early years, residential childcare and teaching assistant sectors across PTS.
You will work with and lead other Internal Quality Assurers to ensure quality and consistency of quality assurance across qualifications within these areas.
You will have a comprehensive induction and monthly supervisions with the Quality Manager and be part of a team across PTS, with opportunities to continue your own training and development.
You will need to have excellent administration, organisation and communication skills. The successful candidate will be based from home planning own diary, visiting employers, staff, learners across all of London and into Surrey and South East, as well as attendance at the office in Farnham.
Key skills and expertise required:
You are required to have;
- Relevant vocational qualification at level 3 or above
- A teaching qualification at level 4 or above, PGCE, DTTLS.
- Assessment and Internal Verification / Quality Assurance Qualification; A1, CAVA, V1, IQA
- Knowledge and understanding of ongoing developments within the field of assessment and verification and experience of new apprenticeship standards.
- Evidence of current experience and relevant and up to date knowledge of occupational competence.
