The SAP Practice is continuing to grow in size, with the team developing their skills to get to the next level of their career and to meet the future demands of the business.  

This is an exciting time to join our SAP practice team as we move towards a multi supplier model. Working alongside Nick within the Service transition function, you will play a key role in supporting and planning the transition of changes into production and it is a great opportunity to build your portfolio! 

You will have the autonomy to develop and implement planning procedures, improvement processes and transition planning to ensure our projects and programmes smoothly move into business as usual (BAU).  

You will be responsible for creating the service design & transition documentation to document the end-to-end service, reflecting the requirements and how they will be met ensuring that the solutions for new and changing IT services are secure, resilient, supportable, and measurable.

Here are some of the things you’ll be doing as our Service Readiness Analyst: 

  • Support the design and implementation of effective service transition and service readiness plans; co-ordinating across teams to manage changes coming onto live production 
  • Responsible for facilitating the Service Acceptance gated process, verifying that go/no go criteria are met, understood and agreed by all stakeholders for changes moving into the production environment 
  • Work collaboratively with Change and Service Management teams to maintain, manage and agree service / operational / change acceptance criteria, defining service requirements including non-functional requirements through the lifecycle of the transition and into live service with minimum disruption to IT services 
  • Ensure all projects / programmes are delivered in line with recognised best practice methodology in respect of operational support requirements 
  • Highlight, communicate and manage any transition risks / issues 
  • Drive continuous process efficiencies and service improvements for technology, people, and process. 

Essential Criteria:

You will already have knowledge and experience of:

  • Service Management Framework principles and processes, ideally working in an ITIL service environment
  • Supporting the creation of service design and transition artefacts such as process maps, support models and acceptance criteria.
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative stakeholder relationships, using excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team being adept at planning, problem solving and organising workload to meet deadlines

Desirable criteria:

Ideally you will also have an understanding and experience of;

  • Change & Release management including CAB, Change Control
  • Project / Service Delivery Lifecycle, delivery methods and tools
  • Working with third party suppliers and service providers
  • ITIL Certification is desirable.
