Infrastructure Engineer

 

Shifts - Monday to Friday (Flexible 8 - 4)

Salary - £27,000 - £30,000

Job description for Infrastructure Engineer

  • Designing the architecture for the infrastructure required to support on customer sites.
  • Providing level 2 support for our customer installations for issues that would relate to the teams responsibility.
  • Visiting customer sites, where tickets have been escalated and require specialist knowledge.
  • Preparation of hardware in our facility before installation.
  • Working with customer IT departments to agree implementation plans.
  • Signing off new pieces of hardware, verifying they work with the platform.

Desirable job requirements for Field Service Engineer (if you do not possess these requirements still apply for the role)

  • Worked within an IT support or infrastructure role, experienced working with networking, linux and enterprise-grade server hardware.
  • Familiarity with linux based software systems and/or Android based mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with layer 2 IT networking.
  • Basic competence with the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Being a demonstrable logical thinker with experience of planning and executing changes to processes to drive achievable and sustainable improvements in product, compliance or organisational efficiency.
  • UK valid driving licence, passport and ability to travel to the UK and to the EU/US on occasion.
