Working hours – Monday to Friday - Days
Salary – 50K

We are looking for an experienced team leader to become part of a multi-million-pound heavy industry business. They have continued to go through substantial growth in recent years and have recently invested over £30,000,000 across the company in the last 12 months, business is booming.
In this role, you will be managing a team of 3 engineers. The role itself is a very hands-on role, and you will lead from the front, working on multi-million-pound heavy industrial machinery, some old and some brand new. You will need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. The engineers that thrive in this environment are the ones that enjoy the old school heavy machinery!
The machinery you will be working on will be big industrial Balers (Harris), 2000 tonne shears, mobile cranes for material handling, screw conveyors, infeed conveyors, Separators, sortation machines, big industrial magnets and more.
Responsibilities:
  • Daily management of a team of 3 engineers.
  • As the maintenance team leader, you will create a PPM schedule for your sites.
  • You will carry out reactive maintenance on a range of static and mobile equipment such as 2000-tonne shears, mobile cranes for material handling, screw conveyors, in feed conveyors, Separators, sortation machines, big industrial magnets and more.
  • Permit to work checks.
  • Inventory control and supplier management.
Experience required:
  • Previous experience in a management role is essential.
  • Must have NVQ/C&G quals in electrical discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery as a Maintenance Engineer.
  • Hydraulics experience desirable.
  • Must have worked in a heavy industrial environment previously.
  • Maintenance Engineers from heavy industry will thrive – Quarry, Aggregates, Recycling, Power/Utilities, shipyard.
