Lead Web Designer (HTML/CSS/SCSS

We are hiring an experienced Web Designer to work for a well known company in the Leisure & Tourism sector. This is a permanent position paying c.£50k + bens and will require you to work on-site in their South Yorkshire office to train, manage and mentor a junior Designer.

The Role
They are now recruiting for a Lead Web Designer (HTML/CSS/SCSS) to work alongside the Web Design Manager in building new and improving existing websites for their brands and services. You will use your experience to transform UX designs into accessible front-end code using HTML/CSS/SCSS, with any Javascript experience an added benefit. There are two more junior Web Designers within the team which you will manage and mentor, as well as taking a lead role in the design of all websites.

Skill and Experience Required
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Commercial experience with HTML/CSS/SCSS
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and UX principles
- Commercial experience working with CMS and Visual Studio
- Understanding of mobile first best practices, responsive design/cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
