Material Handler

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £33,260 per year

The Orion Rail team are looking for a Material Handler to join a leading UK Rail business.

The Material Handler's Position Summary:

The Material Handlers role is to enhance and continually improve the effectiveness of the material supply requirements for a train operator.

The Material Handler must ensure the operators satisfaction by maximising material availability.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:

• Providing a service to the customer and providing them with specific requirements

• Booking in and booking out material using SAP

• Support Material Controllers with counts, exam kitting and repairs

• Use Microsoft applications to keep project configuration management updated

• Forklift material when required using a counterbalance

• Supporting customers and external sites via email and Microsoft communications

• Assist with Material engineering and Material Overhaul projects

An ideal applicant should have:

• Warehouse experience

• Forklift experience

• Computer experience (SAP experience is desirable)

Person profile as the Material Handler:

• You will be a highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative

• You will possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills The applicant is expected to work 42 Hours a week and must cover one of the following shifts on a weekly basis:

• 0600 - 1400 • 1400 - 2200 • 2200 - 0600
