Systems Analyst – Up to 50K!

I have an amazing opportunity with a company who build publishing solutions that are used to fulfil business objectives.

In this role you will be responsible for configuring and supporting the content management systems to sustain the online publishing environment and will participate in all aspects of the software life cycle.

This role is essential in developing, maintaining, and enhancing existing products and applications, troubleshoot and act as a main source of support for online product development!

Requirements

• Experience managing content management systems (including digital asset management (DAM) systems) and publishing workflows.
• Experience working with video asset workflows, including, but not limited to, video encoding, codecs, file formats, and streaming services.
• Experience working with metadata modelling in a DAM application.
• Experience administering databases on Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience working with SQL Server, PowerShell, XML, Java, XQuery, and XSLT
• Experience working with North Plains Telescope or SQL Server based DAM applications.
• Desirable, but not mandatory to have experience with MarkLogic.
• Knowledge of scripting, databases, and declarative and object-oriented programming.
• Experience using SVN and automated deployment / testing methodologies such as Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Support relational and XML-based content and digital asset management systems.
• Meet with stakeholders and end users to identify requirements and enhancement requests.
• Write technical specifications and documentation.
• Liase with internal and external resources to ensure change requests are implemented accurately and on schedule while keeping stakeholders informed of on-going development priorities.
• Write .NET, PowerShell and JAVA code to implement system enhancements.
• Test and deploy configurations, scripts, and code.
• Provide support for production systems, including troubleshooting and analysis, communication with external vendors, and testing.
• Perform as a member of the content analyst team collaborating effectively with team members to deliver optimal business value.
