Linux Administrators/Engineers – 6 Months Contract (Extendable)

Pearson Carter are working with a global company looking for a Linux Engineer to join their team.

You will be joining a team based across Asia, US and Europe. This team manages a diverse range of Linux based customer portals, applications, and data delivery services along with some Solaris servers.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the architecture, installation, performance, patching, support, and security of Virtual Linux servers and legacy Solaris Servers.
• Troubleshoot performance, functional and availability problems.
• Works closely with infrastructure, middleware admins, dba, developers, and business analysts to ensure the success and agility of services.
• Pursues continuous improvement and automation to provide the highest possible standards around our data delivery, system quality, and availability.

Experience:

• Experience working as a Linux administrator.
• Excellent working knowledge of installation, configuration, patching, maintaining, and supporting Red Hat 5,6,7 & 8 Linux servers.
• Good understanding of, VMware, large scale SANs, preferably NetApp, and IP/TCP networking, Apache Web server, Tomcat and Nginx.
• Good bash scripting skills, Ansible and knowledge of Linux/Unix utilities.

Salary:

Daily rate of Up to 100 USD.

This is a Remote based role.
