Initial Screening and Contact Officer / Admin needed in Worcester, £13.91ph PAYE - Reference: RQ928535

Hybrid working on a rota basis 

To work as part of the team in maintaining the central point of contact for members of the public and professionals referring to Children’s Social Care. Assist referrers in enquiries around wider services for children and their families via, signposting. Support the team in screening and inputting information onto social care electronic systems and in multi-agency forums within the MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub).

Initial Screening Officers are a point of contact for members of the public and professionals, offering clear and sound advice, signposting and screening the request for support that are sent to the team.

The role requires the officers to be able to direct families to the right service to meet the individual needs of the child and family.

They will screen request for support from the public and professionals, confidently and when needed constructively challenge and deliver difficult messages.

The role requires the officer to maintain and update electronic systems in an accurate, concise and timely way.

Communicate effectively with range of customers, such members of the public, Head Teachers and GPs, using highly developed customer services to ensure responses are delivered in a timely and sensitive way the successful candidates should have experience of speaking to families and professionals, and an awareness of services available to families in Worcestershire.


This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
