Mechanical Design Engineer

We are working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Andover that are industry leaders in the design and manufacture of industrial machinery. They are expanding their successful Engineering Department and looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2+ years of industry experience to join the team.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be involved in:

• Creation of detailed drawings to develop working prototypes
• FEA analysis of CAD to determine mechanical suitability
• Assisting the Purchasing and Procurement of products and parts
• On site trial work, evaluation and testing of prototypes
• Liaise with external customers and suppliers in the development of machines

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will have:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Excellent 3D CAD skills (preferably Solidworks)
• Ability to work under pressure to demanding time scales
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Proven expertise and experience in Mechanical design
